Crane House Night Market: Ramen Edition

Rah – rah – ah – ah – ah – ah! Ramen!

ALL YOU CAN EAT RAMEN FOR ONLY $15. (Did I catch your attention yet?)

Let me start by saying how excited I am for this event. Although there will only be ramen and boba tea served, the fact that the Crane House Young Professional (CHYP) is putting together a “Night Market” puts so much joy in my life. Food and Asian Culture are the two things that make me happy.

The last time I went to an Asian Night Market was about two years ago in Arcadia, California, and let me tell you, it was the Asian Night Market experience. From boba tea to stinky tofu to some xiao long bao (soup dumpling), the options were endless. So when I came back home, I was disappointed that we do not have that experience. But if you are a foodie, you know that Louisville can do it. We have awesome fusion sushi rolls from Dragon King Daughter, delicious boba tea from Tea Station, tasty duck (the cantonese one is super delicious) from the Joy Luck, and so many more. Put them all in a night market, and I bet it would be a blast. But for now, you can be like me and just visit them occasionally or very often. The choice is yours! But enough of me, let’s get to the purpose of this post. I want to tell you about an event, “Night Market: Ramen Edition” that is happening this August.

Let’s begin by applauding the Crane House Young Professional who are taking initiative to plan this event. I was waiting for an event like this for so long! Just two days after posting the event on Facebook, over 300+ people are interested in going. On August 15, 2015 at 6 PM, CHYP will be serving up some hot ramen for everyone. It will be all you can eat for $15 or $10/bowl. Vegetarian options are available. Also, they will be shaking up some iced cold boba tea; mango will be one of the flavor that they will be offering. Yelp Louisville will also be there with activities and check-in offers. Without Yelp, I probably would have a hard time finding hidden gems in Louisville. I definitely do not just go to any local business without checking on Yelp first. Yelp is like a first aid kit; it has all the resources to help you out! So please, come out with an empty stomach, bring your selfie stick, drag your friends, and come have fun. (Oh, and don’t forget to check in on Yelp when you are at the event! I hear that they are giving out some free stuff!) The event will be located at the Crane House 1244 S 3rd St, Louisville, KY 40203. Enter through the front door, see photography of the Asian background, and head to the back for a night full of music, lights, and most importantly, food!
